The Financial Controller will support the MD in the day-to-day operation of the accounting & logistic& HR function, steering the business towards the achievement of its goals, and will provide financial controlling leadership to the Managing Director in Korea.Primary responsibilities include financial analysis and financial reporting, budgeting/forecasting, audit, control, asset and liability reconciliation, working capital and cash management. • Full functional responsibility for the Controlling and Financial Management of Korea Sales Co.
• Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence and encourage others; advocates sound financial/business decision making;
• Oversee and coordinate the monthly, quarterly, yearly and ad-hoc reporting to ensure delivery deadlines and analysis of Korea Sales Co., focusing on the identification of opportunities, weak points and gap analysis, aiming at improving the operational and financial performance. Work closely with the Managing Director and other company management staff to address or exploit said weaknesses or opportunities. Provide expert financial assistance to the Managing Director in Korea.
• Lead the forecasting & budgeting processes in Korea.
• Review cash flow forecasts; drive improvements in cash flow management
.• Drive improvements in working capital management & cost control.
• Functional supervision of the team. Be involved in the annual performance appraisals and objective settings of team members. Ensure quality and performance of the team members, provide coaching and training; take a leading role in recruiting and talent management for the responsible function.
• Act as Compliance agent for the company under direct responsibility to drive the appropriate implementation of Group and Division directives, policies and initiatives within Korea.
• Monitor all taxes that apply, ensuring that taxes are current, collected and/or accrued and adequate documentation maintained to meet the tax and accounting regulation.
• Oversees internal, external and regulatory audit processes
• Ensure quality of financial data and compliance with Corporate and Division directives.
• Support a strong accounting & operational control environment (i.e. ICS) to safeguard assets, improve operations and profitability and manage business risks.
• Drive the Finance 4DX process in Korea.
• Enhance local IT General Control
.• People management to build up, coach, motivate and develop the team
• Lead or support projects; perform financial assessment for project applications (including corporate reorganizations, CAPEX and cost credit applications) within the scope of responsibilities
.• Work with Asia HR team to manage HR on-site operation including recruiting, performance management, training, Payroll, talent management, staffing etc .• Other job assigned by MD, BU Controller and Asia HR head.

• University degree in Business, Finance or Accounting. • Professional accounting or Finance qualification desirable (CFA, CPA, CIMA, ACA, ACCA, MBA) Experience: • Sound experience in operational Financial Management and Controlling functions (production or sales) for 10 -15 years • Experience in internal controls, audit processes, legal and tax matters, process alignment and improvement are highly valued. • Track record in working with senior management. • Familiar with business practices in Korea Language: • Fluent English and Korean IT skills: • Computer literate; good knowledge in ERP systems (eg. iScala, SAP); good knowledge of presentation tools and Microsoft suite.
